The Armsan RS-S1 Semi-Automatic Shotgun is produced in Turkey by Armsan.
This tactical style semi-automatic shotgun is patterned after the Russian-made Saiga-12 and Vepr-12 shotguns, both based on the pattern of the Kalashnikov AK rifle.
The Armsan RS-S1 is in service with police and security forces, as well as used by civilians, for sport, hunting or home defense.
The Armsan RS-S1 shotgun is a gas operated, semi-automatic weapon. It uses a short stroke piston and has a 3” (76mm) chamber.
The barrel is locked using a rotary bolt that engages the front trunnion in the receiver.
Its bolt and gas piston group are closely patterned after the Russian Vepr-12 shotgun.
The receiver is made from stamped steel, top cover is hinged at the front and fitted with an integrated Picatinny rail.
It is equipped with AK-type adjustable iron sights and an AK-style safety.
Ammunition is fed from detachable box magazines with a capacity of 5 or 10 rounds.
Depending on the version, the Armsan RS-S1 shotgun can be fitted with wooden or plastic furniture.It comes with a fix stock.
